My Platform

  • Student Achievement

    Click to open

We must always keep student achievement as our top consideration.  Never resting on our laurels and always looking for ways to improve how we deliver education to maximize the success of our students.  This requires a strong commitment to our mission statement in “HSD 2025”.

  • Financial Stewardship

    Click to open

We must strive to keep Hudson one of the most cost-effective school districts in the state.  We have an obligation to do everything we can to minimize the property tax burden for our Hudson area residents and balancing that obligation with providing a quality education.  Finding a cost-effective long-term solution to our secondary space needs is critical to fulfilling that obligation.

  • Community Engagement

    Click to open

We must focus on maximizing public engagement.  We are a public school district and we must listen to and involve our community members. Consideration of a wide variety of reasoned viewpoints allows us to make the best decisions.

  • Teacher Attraction & Retention

    Click to open

We need to attract and retain quality teachers. The backbone to any education system is its teachers.   In Hudson, we have some of the best teachers in the state.  We have introduced a merit pay system that has been developed with tremendous input from teachers.  We must monitor, support and adjust that system so that it can be successfully implemented and maintained.
