Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and came to the United States at 18 years or age. I joined the United States Navy and spent four years on active duty in San Diego, California. The people in the military became my family and still are to this day. After leaving the military, I obtained a Masters Degree in Science of Nursing with a concentration in Education while working two jobs and raising my two children. Because of the love I have for people, I worked in different nursing departments taking care of the sick. Presently I work as the Director of Nursing and as a Mental Health Professor at a local college in Palm Beach County.
After spending six years working with Veterans Affairs as a registered nurse, my soul was not at peace. I decided that I must intervene for our veterans and our seniors. Our parties are divided and so are the people in this country. It is said, a house divided is a house that cannot stand. We need unity to obtain a better outcome for our seniors, veterans and children. I am the voice that will bring unity and bridge the gap in Congress. I am a leader with critical thinking skills and have real solutions to issues.
Why Am I Running?
As a navy veteran, registered nurse, professor, small business owner and a single parent; I am deeply concerned that the emphasis of this country is not about the people. The parties remain divided and as we know, a house divided cannot stand. How can anything be accomplished if we continue in the same direction and do not forge a new path?
Unity must be obtained to provide a better outcome for all citizens and especially our veterans, children, and seniors. My pledge to you and all citizens is to be the Independent voice that will represent the people of District 18 and bridge the gap that is missing on Capitol Hill.
“Let us unite and together we will do it!”
